Company Profile And History So Far

Kempsons is a leading Independent Estate Agency selling properties within a 20 mile radius of our centrally located office in the Georgian market town of Shefford. Kempsons has been a family owned firm trading in Shefford since 1906.

In September 2006 Stonegate Estates aquired Kempsons as a logical step nothward, complementing our office in Hitchin. This has resulted in improved coverage for our clients.

Firmly established as one of North Hertfordshire's leading Independent Estate Agents, Stonegate Estates first opened in 1991, taking premises in Hitchin's historic Market Place. At a time when many of the large institutions were closing branches down, Stonegate's Director Michael Cole felt that this was, in fact, just the right time to launch such a venture, fully utilising their collective experience in this field; supported by a mature, highly proficient team.
